South African Tourism approached me after a successful past collaboration and wanted to create a promo for both the Rugby and Cricket national teams and their performances in the UK.
The project was challenging as I would have limited amount of time to film members of both teams and had to produce a high quality video with both excellent audio, behind the scene shots and different angles of the players speaking, all while making the video as entertaining as possible.
The shoot was in the South African embassy in Trafalgar Square, and the room changed on both shoots as the previously arranged one was not available.
SOLUTION
I decided to outsource an audio guy to capture crisp audio, and called a fellow videographer friend to shoot behind the scene shots while I took charge of the setup, lighting and main cameras.
I rented out 3 studio lights and white backdrop to give a clean, professional feel to the interviews and that gave me flexibility to be in any environment as long as I could close the shutters and control light.
The project was a success and the video was showcased on all main advertising channels of South African Tourism in the UK.
