Jordan, the founder of up-cycled lamp brand Relux, was looking for a promotional video that highlighted the two key elements of the product:
1) the sustainable and upcycled nature of the materials
2) the beauty and refined look of the lamp itself The challenge was to create a piece of content that squeezed a story within the 1 minute timeframe, and that took the viewer through a narrative with the classic hook approach, where the first part serves as introduction and needed to be captivating and significant, and the second part needed a hook where the narrative changed to a positive and uplifting one.
SOLUTION
Decided to use a combination of stock footage and shots of Liverpool Street’s busy building sites to convey the right message, and hired an external voiceover artist to narrate the promo to add an extra layer of depth.
Purchased a beautiful dark wooded bedside table to complement the light, and took the shots of the lamp in different settings and from different angles to showcase texture and versatility.
Overall the outcome was very positive, and the end result was delivered in rectangular, squared and vertical formats to offer the best viewing experiences possible.
